Beef Meatballs: College Cooking 101 Part 1

UC Berkeley student, Katie, visits the Ask a Chef.tv kitchen to learn how to make great food with dorm room appliances. In Part 1 of this episode, Ryan shows Katie how to make turkey meatballs that can be used many ways.

Ingredients

Beef 500 Gram , minced
Oregano 2 Teaspoon
Chili powder 2 Teaspoon
Garlic powder 2 Teaspoon
Thyme 2 Teaspoon

Directions

MAKING

1.In a large bowl place the meat and add oregano, chili powder, garlic powder and thyme.

2.Mix it well with your hands and prepare small meat balls out of this mixture.

3.In a steamer, put the meat balls and let them cook for some time.

4. Once cooked, use a portion of the meat balls to mix them with teriyaki sauce and pineapple bits. Use the remaining meat balls to mix with marinara sauce and cooked noodles of any kind.

SERVING

6. In a serving plate, serve the Teriyaki meat balls on a bed of sticky rice. To serve the marinara meat balls with noodles, sprinkle some extra cheese on top.
