How to Cook Christmas Mushroom Turkey Gravy

An excellent gravy dish that is extremely flavorful. Goes very well with meat.

Ingredients

Turkey drippings 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Mushroom 12 , thinly sliced
Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Water 3 Cup (48 tbs)
Freshly ground pepper 1 Tablespoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Prepare the slurry by mixing together water with the flour. Set it aside.

MAKING

2. Heat drippings in the same pan in which the turkey was cooked. Saute mushrooms in the drippings and let them cook.

3. Season with freshly ground black pepper.

4. Deglaze the pan with red wine and continue to cook until the mushrooms are tender.

5. Shake and add the slurry. Bring everything to boil and let everything cook together.

SERVING

6. Empty the gravy to a gravy bowl and serve it with meat of your choice.
