Try this homemade marinara sauce out on your pasta dish. It might take a little bit more time, but the fresh herbs and vegetables create an aroma that will bring the whole family to the dinner table before you even have to ask.

Ingredients

Carrots 4 , finely chopped
Celery stalks 4 , finely chopped
White onion 1 , finely chopped
Olive oil 2 Tablespoon ((as needed))
Salt To Taste
Pepper To Taste
Minced garlic 1 Tablespoon
Diced tomatoes with juice 56 Ounce ((2 cans, 28 oz. each))
Tomato paste 2 Tablespoon
Flat leaf parsley 1 Tablespoon , roughly chopped
Fresh basil 1 Tablespoon , roughly chopped
Bay leaves 2
