Macaroni Hot Pot

Macroni hot pot, a tiffin treat that tops children's "must have list", this dish makes a complete healthy meal with toasted bread. Remember to pack extra portions!


Butter 2 Tablespoon
Onion rings 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Capsicum rings 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) , cut into halves
Finely chopped garlic 1/2 Tablespoon
Blanched and chopped tomatoes 3 1/4 Cup (52 tbs)
Chilli powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Sugar 1/2 Teaspoon
Baked beans 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Cooked macaroni 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Dried oregano 1 Teaspoon
Tomato ketchup 2 Tablespoon
Salt To Taste
Grated processed cheese 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)



1. Preheat the oven to 200C.


2. In a pan, add butter, onion rings and capsicum rings, saute for about 2 minutes. Remove few capsicum and onion rings from the pan and set aside.

3. Add garlic and saute for another 1 minutes. Add tomato, sugar and chili powder, saute for 2 to 3 minutes. Add baked beans, macaroni, oregano and tomato ketchup, mix well and saute for few seconds. Add salt and mix again.

4. Transfer to a baking dish, arrange the reserves onion and capsicum rings and top with cheese. Bake at 200C for 10 to 15 minutes.


5. Serve hot with garlic bread.
