Baked Lasagna

Ingredients

Olive oil 3 Tablespoon
Minced onion 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Thinly sliced green peppers 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm) , minced
Kosher salt 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
Oregano 1/2 Teaspoon
Chopped parsley 2 Tablespoon
Canned tomatoes 30 Ounce (No. 2 1/2 Can)
Tomato sauce 8 Ounce (1 Can)
Grated gouda cheese/Grated edam cheese 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , dry
Lasagna noodles 1/2 Pound (1 1/2
Swiss cheese 3/4 Pound , sliced
Cottage cheese 1 1/2 Pound

Directions

MAKING

1) Take a skillet and heat olive oil in it. Add onions, garlic and green peppers. Cook for about 10 minutes or until tender.

2) Add pepper, salt, parsley, tomatoes, oregano and tomato sauce.

3) Cover and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes.

4) Add 2 tablespoons Gouda cheese.

5) Cook lasagna as per package directions. Drain and set aside.

6) Take a 12 x 8-inch baking dish and spread 1/3 sauce at the bottom.

7) Place alternate layers of lasagna, Swiss cheese, cottage cheese, sprinkles of Gouda and sauce. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used up.

8) Cover with the remaining sauce and sprinkle Gouda cheese at the top.

9) Bake in the oven for about 35 minutes.

SERVING

10) Cut and serve hot.
