Habanero Ketchup Recipe-How To Make Ketchup At Home

This is a great ketchup that is awesome on burgers! I really hope you give this a try!


Onion 1 1/2 , chopped finely
Garlic cloves 5 , roughly chopped
Habanero pepper 3 , seeded, minced
Canola oil 1 Tablespoon (as needed)
Kosher salt To Taste
New mexico chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Cinnamon 1/4 Teaspoon
Allspice 1/4 Teaspoon
Celery salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Black pepper 1/2 Teaspoon
Crushed tomato 60 Ounce
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Brown sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
White sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Clove 1
Brown mustard 1 Teaspoon
Cider vinegar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)



1. In a pan, heat oil add onion, pepper and sauté until soften.

2. Add garlic and salt. Stir and cook until fragrant.

3. Add chili powder, cinnamon, allspice, celery salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, water, brown sugar, and white sugar.

5. Add salt to taste, clove, brown mustard, and cider vinegar. Simmer until reduced by about 75%.

6. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool. Blend until smooth, strain and cool overnight.


7. Serve on top of burger and enjoy!
