How to Make Green Juice

Making Green juice is a great way to get your daily dose of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Howdini shares a simple recipe that can be made at home in your blender!

Add water: 0:14
Three leaves of romaine and half a cucumber: 0:18
Half a lemon: 0:24
Two stalks of celery: 0:28
Two cups of kale: 0:37
One cup of parsley: 0:41

Blend: 0:45
Strain through a nut milk bag or cheese clothe: : 1:07

Ingredients

Water 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Romaine leaves 3 Medium , torn into large pieces
Cucumber 1/2 Medium , cubed
Lemon 1/2 Medium , peeled and cubed
Celery stalk 2 Medium , cubed
Green apple 1 Medium , cubed
Kale 2 Cup (32 tbs) , torn into large pieces
Parsley 1 Cup (16 tbs) , torn into small pieces

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Wash and clean the greens and tear into pieces.

2. Cut the lemon, cucumber, green apple and thecelery stalks into cubes.

MAKING

3. In a blender pour the water to the level it covers the blades.

4. Add romaine leaves, cucumber pieces, followed by the lemon and celery pieces. Add the green apple cubes, and then the kale and parsley.

5. Blend together on high speed. Stop in between, if needed, to spoon down the ingredients in order to obtain a uniform blend.

6. Strain juice into an empty container using a nut bag or cheesecloth.

SERVING

7. Pour into individual glasses and enjoy as is or with plenty of ice for extra refreshment.
