Betty demonstrates how to make Limonana (Israeli Mint Lemonade). This refreshing drink recipe was sent in by Alex Zaprudsky. It is a typical drink you can find all over the Middle East.

Freshly squeezed lemon juice 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Loosely packed mint 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Ice cubes 3 Cup (48 tbs) (if using small ice cubes use slightly less because they pack tighter)
Arak 1 1/2 Ounce (or liquor of your choice), optional)

Combine the lemon juice, mint, sugar and water in a blender. Blend at high speed until well mixed.

Add the ice and blend until the ice is thoroughly crushed.

Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

* If you wish to make spiked limonana, add a shot of Arak (or liquor of your choice) in step 1.
