|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
In a heavy bottomed pot, add in the blackberries and set the heat on low.
Slowly sprinkle in the sugar. Stir.
Gently press the berries until it releases some of its juices.
Increase the heat to medium and cook until it is reduced by of its original volume and when spooned onto a plate, and takes its time to drop down.
Spread the jam over the toast and serve.
