Tomato Chilli Jam is a delicious home made preserve. Tomatoes are combined with garlic, ginger, sweet chilli sauce and sugar. Simmered until thick and reduced, this jam can be used as a condiment, marinade, baste or sauce - give it a go!
|Olive oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Crushed garlic||2 Clove (10 gm) (about 2 teaspoon)|
|Grated ginger||1 Tablespoon|
|Ripe tomatoes||800 Gram (diced)|
|Sweet chili sauce||2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Red chili||1 , finely chopped (optional)|
|Brown sugar||1/2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lime||2 , juiced|
In a large saucepan, heat olive oil and sauté ginger and garlic in it.
Add tomatoes, sweet chili sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, salt, pepper and stir well.
Bring to boil and reduce the heat. Allow to simmer for 1 hour.
Stir well and add to sterilized jar.
Serve and enjoy!
Store in a jar in refrigerator for 1 month.
