Betty's Italian-Style Roasted Hominy- Superbowl

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Italian-Style Roasted Hominy. This recipe is similar to the previous video, Mexican-Style Roasted Garbanzo Beans and is another flavorful, healthy alternative to typical snacks.

Ingredients

Canned hominy 46 1/2 Ounce (3 (14.5 to 15.5
Extra virgin olive oil 3 Tablespoon
Dried basil 1 Teaspoon
Dried oregano 1 Teaspoon
Dried parsley 1 Teaspoon
Ground sea salt To Taste
Ground peppercorns To Taste

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Drain, rinse and pat dry hominy with paper towel.

2. Line a 15-inch by 10-inch by 1-inch baking pan with aluminum foil.

3. Preheat oven to 400 degree F.

MAKING

4. In a bowl, place hominy. Add olive oil, basil, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper. Stir well and spoon into the prepared baking pan. Gently shake the pan to evenly distribute.

5. Pop the pan in oven and bake for 40-50 minutes, stirring occasionally.

SERVING

6. Remove from oven and serve while hot or cool to room temperature.
