Kids Favorite Tomato Pasta

A simple pasta dish, which can be prepared within half an hour. Easy to make without any compromise on the flavor. Tomato pasta is what everyone in your family is going to love, especially your kids.


For the sauce
Olive oil 1 Tablespoon
Onion 3 Tablespoon , finely chopped
Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm) , finely chopped
Fresh tomatoes 2 (skinned, seeds removed and roughly chopped)
Salt and pepper To Taste
For the pasta
Whole wheat penne 200 Gram (cooked according to packet instructions)
Salt 1 Tablespoon (Boiled in salt water)
For the garnish
Oregano 1/4 Teaspoon (Optional)



1. In a wide frying pan, heat the oil over medium flame. Add the onions and fry for a few seconds, followed by the garlic and cook until softened.

2. Throw in the tomatoes and stir. Season with salt and pepper, bring up to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the tomatoes have reduced to a thick sauce.

3. Meanwhile bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook penne according to the packet instructions.

4. Drain the pasta and set aside in the same pot in which it is boiled.

5. Pour the sauce over the pasta and mix well.


6. Garnish the pasta with some oregano if your kids wish and serve.
