Weeknight Pork Pizza Meatballs

Ground pork meatballs cooked in pizza sauce and cheese!


Lean ground pork 500 Gram (lean ground Canadian Pork used)
Chopped mushrooms 125 Milliliter (1/2 cup)
Dry bread crumbs 125 Milliliter (1/2 cup)
Dried oregano leaves 1 Teaspoon
Pizza sauce 213 Milliliter (7 ounce (prepared pizza sauce ))
Part skim mozzarella cheese 125 Milliliter , shredded (1/2 cup)



1. In a medium bowl, combine lean ground pork, mushrooms, bread crumbs, and oregano. Mix well.

2. Clump mixture and shape it into 12 equal sized balls.

3. Place a skillet on medium-high flame, place meatballs and fry, turning often until no longer pink inside. Drain excess fat if necessary.

4. Top it with pizza sauce and shredded cheese. Reduce the flame and cover the skillet. Cook until sauce is warm and cheese is melted.


5. Serve hot over cooked pasta or on crusty rolls.


The internal temperature of perfectly cooked meatball should reach 160 degree F or 71 degree C.
