Italian Bread Loaf

Ingredients

Italian bread loaf 1 , halved lengthwise and cut diagonally in 1" slices
Garlic clove 1 Medium , minced
Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
Tomatoes 2 Large , peeled, seeded, and chopped
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Pepper 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Fresh basil 3 Tablespoon , chopped

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Cut bread halves, crosswise diagonally, into 1” slices.

2. In a broiler pan, place the bread slices and toast the bread under the broiler until lightly browned.

MAKING

3. In a bowl, mix together garlic and olive oil.

4. Brush the garlic mixture over one side of the bread.

5. Place the tomatoes evenly over the bread and spread.

6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

7. Broil for about 30 seconds to heat the tomatoes.

SERVING

8. Sprinkle with basil and serve warm.
