Crostini- 3 Ways To Make Crostini

Crostini are a great appetizer or snack! Little toasts topped with anything you can imagine. Here are three crostini recipes to try, both savory crosstown and sweet crostini.


Baguette 1 Large
Olive oil spray 1
Salt To Taste
Pepper To Taste
For sweet crostini topping:
Soft goat cheese/Cream cheese 4 Ounce
Anise seed 1/2 Teaspoon
Honey 1 Teaspoon
Orange marmalade 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Sliced almonds 2 Tablespoon
For hot crostini topping::
Grated swiss cheese 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (Jarlsberg)
Mayonnaise 1 Tablespoon
Yellow mustard 1 Teaspoon
Minced fresh herbs 1 Teaspoon (sage, thyme, parsley, rosemary)
Diced ham 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Black pepper To Taste
Radish slice 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
For vegan crostini topping:
Avocado 1 , peeled
Kalamata olives 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , sliced
Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
Sprouts/Radish slices 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Minced chives/Green onion /shallot 1 Teaspoon
Fresh thyme 1 Teaspoon
Kalamata olives 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , sliced
Sprouts/Radish slices 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)



1.Preheat oven to 425F.

2.Line baking tray with baking sheet.


3.Arrange baguette slices on baking sheet and spray oil over it. Sprinkle salt and pepper (on 2/3rd of slices) and pop into oven.

4.Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.

5.For sweet crostini: In a bowl, combine cheese, anise, honey and mix well. Spread over toasted slices and top with marmalade. Garnish with almond slices.

6.For hot crostini: In a bowl, combine cheese, mayo, mustard, herbs, ham and mix well. Spoon the mixture over toasted baguette slices and place on baking tray. Pop into oven and bake for 10 minutes until cheese melts. Top with radish slices.

7.For vegan crostini: In a bowl, mash avocado and add lemon juice, chives, thyme, salt and pepper to it. Mix well. Spread over toasted slice and top with olives and sprouts.


8.Serve and enjoy!
