Savor the Flavors host Brittany Allyn shares a new idea for a vegetable side dish as she prepares her Oven Roasted Italian Green Beans and Tomatoes.
|Fresh green beans||10 Ounce (Stems trimmed and cut on the bias)|
|Grape tomatoes||1/2 Pint , halved|
|Extra virgin olive oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Italian seasoning||1/2 Teaspoon|
|Sea salt||1/2 Teaspoon|
|Parmigiano reggiano||1 Tablespoon , freshly grated|
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place the green beans over that. Set aside.
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, Italian seasoning and salt.
Drizzle olive oil mixture over the top of the beans andtoss with your hands to evenly coat the beans. Place in the oven and roast for 8 – 10 minutes – stirringhalf way through cooking time.
Add the tomatoes to the pan. Roast for 2 to 3 more minutes or until thetomatoes start to blister.
Remove from the baking sheet to a serving dish and lightly grate Parmigiano over the top. Serve and enjoy.
