How to Cook Shrimp and Shiitake Linguine with Tres Citrus Balsamic Butter Sauce

Make this linguine with shrimp and enjoy.


For mushroom
Shitake mushroom 12
Cremini mushroom 5
Olive oil 1 Tablespoon
For pasta
Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Bay leaf 1
Shrimp 1 Pound
Olive oil 1 Tablespoon
Linguine 3/4 Pound
For sauce
Blood orange vinegar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
White wine 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Butter 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Fresh basil 1/2 Tablespoon
Fresh parsley 1/2 Tablespoon
Balsamic vinegar 1 Tablespoon
Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon



For Pasta and shrimp

1. Heat water with a bay leaf in a big pot. 

2. Add linguine to the pot and cook until al dente. Put shrimps and cook them with the pasta.

3. Strain pasta and shrimp. Mix olive oil while everything is still hot.

For Mushrooms

3. Heat oil in a pan, saute mushrooms until tender.

4. Season mushrooms with freshly ground black pepper. Set it aside.

For Sauce

5. Take blood orange vinegar and white wine in another pan. Reduce it down to 2 tablespoon.

6. To the reduction, add cold butter a tablespoon at a time and continue to whisk until everything is well incorporated.

7. Pour tres citrus balsamic vinegar and continue to add butter. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.

8. Add lime juice and whisk that in the sauce. Finally add fresh parsley and fresh basil to the sauce.



9. Toss sauteed mushrooms with pasta and shrimp. Discard the bay leaf.

10. Add the sauce and toss everything together. 



11. Serve this linguine as it is while its still warm. Enjoy.
