How to Make Panini on the Grill - Tailgate Recipe

The Italian Panini Sandwich is easy to make on the grill. Watch three different techniques for getting the perfect hot Panini sandwich on your grill. Perfect for the next big game. One of my favorite tailgating recipes.


Butter 3 Tablespoon
For blt
Bread slices 2
Mayonnaise 1 Tablespoon
Tomato slices 2
Turkey slices 1
Bacon slices 2
Lettuce 2 Ounce
For pastrami
Bread slices 2
Mustard 1 Tablespoon
Pastrami beef slices 2
Sauerkraut 2 Tablespoon
For roast beef
Bread slices 2
Aioli 1 Tablespoon
Roast beef slices 2
Provolone cheese slices 2
Green pepper 1/2 , grilled



1. Prepare the grill for cooking.




2. Spread mayonnaise on a slice of bread. 

3. Layer with tomato slices, turkey slices, bacon and lettuce.

4. Close the sandwich with another bread slice. Spread butter over the bread and place the sandwich butter side up.

5. Press the sandwich with the bacon press or a brick. Let the sandwich grill for a bit.

6. Butter the other side and flip the sandwich such that buttered side is down now. Grill until done.


For Pastrami

7. Spread mustard over the bread slice. 

8. Layer with beef pastrami, sauerkraut. Place the other bread slice on top.

9. Spread butter and place on the grill.

10. Press with a brick a grill for a couple of minutes. Spread butter on the other side, flip and grill that side as well.


For Beef Panini

11. Drizzle mustard on the bread slice.

12. Layer with roast beef slices, provolone cheese slice, roasted green peppers and then place the other bread slice on top.

13. Spread butter on top, place on the grill. Press with the bacon press or brick. 

14. Spread butter on the other side, flip, press with the press and continue to grill until done.



15. Slice and serve the sandwiches with the sauce and chips of your choice.
