Creamy Alfredo Sauce

This is a creamy Alfredo sauce that has the addition of 1 egg yolk to the traditional recipe for Alfredo sauce. This gives a slightly thicker and creamier version to the traditional Alfredo sauce you might make every day.
This is a creamy Alfredo sauce that takes no time to make. You can pull together this sauce in about the same amount of time that it takes to cook the pasta. This is a great recipe for the new cook. If you have some chicken or shrimp you could add this to this recipe.

Ingredients

Unsalted butter 4 Tablespoon
Heavy cream 1/2 Pint
White pepper To Taste , freshly ground
Nutmeg To Taste (a few pinches)
3 cheese blend 1 Cup (16 tbs) , shredded (Romano, Parmesan and Asiago)
Egg yolk 1

Directions

MAKING

In a pan, put on medium-low heat add butter and cream. To the mixture add freshly ground pepper and nutmeg.

As the mixture bubbles up add the shredded cheese. Once the cheese melts completely add the yolk of an egg.

Stir the sauce continuously so that the egg does not get scrambled.

SERVING

Add the sauce to your favorite pasta recipe and enjoy!
