Betty demonstrates how to make Cheesy Bread Sticks. These make a great snack or accompaniment to a salad.

All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Chilled butter 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) , cubed
Finely shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Ice cold water 2 Tablespoon

1. Preheat oven to 400 degree F.

2. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.

3. In a large bowl, mix together flour and salt. Add butter and cheese and cut into the flour mixture using a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.

4. Add water, one tablespoon at a time and mix lightly with a fork after each addition until the mixture forms a ball of dough.

5. On lightly floured waxed paper, place the dough, sprinkle top with flour and place another waxed paper over the top. Roll into a rectangle that is 1/8-inch to 1/4-inch in height. Remove top waxed paper.

6. Sprinkle small amount of flour, replace waxed paper and flip dough over (still inside waxed papers). Peel off the top waxed paper and discard.

7. Use a knife to cut dough into desired rectangles, approximately 1-inch by 4-inches.

8. Place rectangles of dough on a baking pan that is lined with parchment paper.

9. Pop the baking pan in oven and bake for about 12 minutes or until light brown. Remove from oven and place on cooling rack to cool.

10. Serve and enjoy!
