Masala Milk Powder

Indias favourite celebration drink, the Masala Milk surpasses all geographical and cultural boundaries. It is enjoyed all over the country by people of all age groups.
The Masala Milk Powder is a perfect blend of spices and nuts. When mixed into milk, it gives it a wonderfully rich hue, aroma and mouth-feel. It is so luxuriant, it makes you feel like royalty!
The amount of sugar can be adjusted to your preference when you mix it into the milk.

Ingredients

Cashew nuts 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (kaju)
Almonds 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (badam)
Pistachios 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (pista)
Cardamoms 5 (elaichi)
Black peppercorns 6 (kalimirch)
Sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Nutmeg powder 1/2 Teaspoon (jaiphal)
Saffron stands 1/2 Teaspoon (kesar)

Directions

GETTING READY:

1. To make masala milk powder, heat a broad non-stick pan and dry roast the cashew nuts on a medium flame for 1 minute. Keep aside.

2. Heat a broad non-stick pan and dry roast the almonds on a medium flame for 1 minute. Keep aside.

3. Heat a broad non-stick pan and dry roast the pistachios on a medium flame for 1 minute. Keep aside.

4. Heat a broad non-stick pan and dry roast the cardamom and peppercorns on a medium flame for 1 minute. Keep aside.

5. Cool all the ingredients completely.

MAKING:

6. Blend all in a mixer along with the sugar to a coarse powder as per your liking.

7. Transfer to a bowl or jar, add the nutmeg powder and saffron and mix well.

SERVING:

8. Store the masala milk powder in an air-tight container in the refrigerator and use as required.
