This rib rub is just magical on grilled or BBQd pork ribs. It has a rich earthy taste that brings out the best in your ribs. Yeah we got this recipe from our cousin in Memphis.
Yeah it may not be the same as your Memphis rib rub Get over it. Everyone puts their own twist on a recipe thats the great thing about making it yourself.
Coarse salt | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Firmly packed brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Sweet paprika | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Hot mustard powder | 3 Tablespoon | |
Cracked black pepper | 2 Tablespoon | |
Granulated garlic | 2 Tablespoon | |
Granulated onion | 1 Tablespoon | |
Dried thyme | 2 Teaspoon | |
Dried oregano | 2 Teaspoon | |
Dried marjoram | 2 Teaspoon | |
Curry powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
Ground celery seed | 1 Teaspoon | |
Cayenne pepper | 1 Teaspoon |
MAKING:
1. Mix all the ingredients together.
SERVING/STORING:
2. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place for up to 3 months. (but it wont last that long because youll use it all first). Makes about 2 cups. Enjoy!
