Moong Dal ki Chaat (Healthy Snack)

A healthy and tasty, nutritious and flavourful snack indeed. Pomegranate and raw mangoes perk up this colourful chaat.


Yellow moong dal 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , soaked for 30 minutes
Salt To Taste , divided
Grated carrots 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Pomegranate 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Chopped spring onions 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (whites and greens)
Raw mango 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , chopped
Finely chopped mint leaves 2 Tablespoon
Finely chopped coriander leaves 2 Tablespoon
Chopped green chillies 2 Teaspoon
Chaat masala 1 Teaspoon
Lemon juice 4 Teaspoon
Water 3 Cup (48 tbs)



1. In a pan boil water, add dal and salt, cook until half done. Using a strainer, strain. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes.

2. In a mixing bowl, add moong dal, carrot, pomegranate, spring onion, raw mango, mint coriander, green chili, chaat masala, lemon juice and salt. Toss to mix.


3. Serve immediately along with a healthy beverage.
