Oats Moong Toast

Oats is not just for porridge! why not make a delicious and nutritious toast by combining oats and moong with lots of perky coriander? make sure you make these just before serving, to prevent them from turning soggy.


For topping
Green moong dal 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , soaked and drained
Coriander 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) , chopped
Quick cooking rolled oats 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Green chilies 1 Tablespoon , finely chopped
Lemon juice 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Baking powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Sugar 2 Pinch
Salt To Taste
Other ingredients
Wheat bread slices 4
Olive oil 1 1/2 Teaspoon (for brushing and cooking)



1. Grind together all ingredients of the topping to a smooth paste.

2. Brush the bread slices with olive oil. Keeping the brushed side down, apple a thick later of the topping on each slice.

3. Grease a heated griddle with oil, place the bread slices, topping side facing down. Cook using little oil util the topping turns golden brown. Turn and cook for another 1 minute.


4. Cut each slice into 4 triangles and serve.
