Delicious and healthy combination of protein rich yellow moong dal, fiber-rich oats and a range of Indian spices to make a perfect health treat!


Split yellow gram 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (yellow moong dal)
Rolled oats 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (quick cooking)
Fresh yoghurt 2 Tablespoon (dahi/curd)
Grated onions 3 Tablespoon
Finely chopped green chillies 1/2 Teaspoon
Chaat masala 2 Teaspoon
Chilli powder 2 Teaspoon
Garam masala 1/4 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/4 Teaspoon (haldi)
Ginger garlic paste
Finely chopped coriander leaves 2 Tablespoon (dhania)
Salt To Taste
Oil 2 Teaspoon (For greasing and cooking)
Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)



1. Clean and wash the dal before boiling it in cooker with one cup of water until soft and almost all the water has evaporated.

2. Now drain the dal and blend in the mixer to form a coarse paste. In a bowl transfer the paste and add all remaining ingredients, except oil and mix properly.

3. Divide the dal mixture into twelve equal parts and shape them into round and flat tikkis of 2.5 inches diameter.


4. Take a non stick griddle and grease it with half teaspoon of oil. When hot place the tikkis on the tava, few at a time.

5. Cook the tikkis using little amount of oil until evenly cooked from both sides.


6. Serve the tikkis hot along with green chutney.
