The popular South Indian preparation is made healthier with the addition of iron-rich jowar. Serve these uttapams with coconut chutney to relish it the most.

Jowar 1 Cup (16 tbs) , soaked overnight and drained (white millet)
Split black lentil 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , soaked overnight and drained (urad dal)
Soya milk 1 Cup (16 tbs) (unflavored)
Salt To Taste
Ginger green chili paste 2 Teaspoon
Oil 2 1/2 Teaspoon (For greasing and cooking)
Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)

1. In a mixer, combine together jowar, urad dal, and soya milk, and blend to form a smooth paste.

2. Now transfer the paste in a bowl, and form a batter by adding water, and mixing well. Add salt and ginger-green chili paste, mix properly

3. Now grease a mini uttapam pan with half teaspoon of oil and heat it. When hot, pour two small spoonfuls of the batter in each uttapam mould to make 3 diameter round uttapam.

4. Using little amount of oil, cook the uttapams from both side until golden brown.

5. Repeat the same procedure with remaining batter to prepare more uttapams.

6. Serve the uttapams hot with coconut chutney.
