This methi palak paneer subzi is so easy and quick to make. The most important thing to remember is to serve it immediately to enjoy its flavors and freshness.


Oil 7 Teaspoon
Paneer cubes 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Fresh cottagte cheese)
Finely chopped onion 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Finely chopped tomato 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Finely chopped green chili 1/2 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Chili powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Chopped fenugreek 1 Cup (16 tbs) , finely chopped
Finely chopped spinach 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Salt To Taste
Sugar 1/4 Teaspoon



1. In a non-stick griddle, heat 6 teaspoons oil and fry paneer cubes over high flame for 4-5 minutes or until they turn light pink in color. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.

2. In the same non-stick griddle, heat the remaining 1 teaspoon of oil and saute onion over medium flame for 1-2 minutes.

3. Add tomato, green chili and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir continuously and cook for 1-2 minutes.

4. Add turmeric powder, chili powder, fenugreek leaves, spinach, and salt. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Stir in the fried paneer and sugar. Cook over medium flame for 1 minute.


6. Serve immediately with roti or paratha.
