Paneer corn korma, this protein rich dish is packed with the goodness of curds and paneer, and tastes great with piping hot parathas. Protein-rich foods like coconut, poppy seeds and cashew nuts are dry roasted and blended well to make a paste that imparts a rich flavor to this delicacy. Our body cells, which are made of proteins, undergo continuous wear and tear hence, a good supply of proteins is necessary to make up for this.


For the coconut paste
Fresh grated coconut 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Poppy seeds 2 Teaspoon
Cashew nuts 8
Chopped green chiies 1 Tablespoon , roughly chopped
Other ingredient
Paneer 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) , cut into 1
Sweet corn kernels 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) , boiled
Oil 5 Teaspoon , divided
Thinly sliced onion 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Finely chopped tomatoes 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Turmeric powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Chili powder 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Tomato puree 1 Tablespoon
Beaten curd 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
For garnish
Coriander sprig 1



For Coconut Paste

1. Heat a non-stick pan and dry roast coconut over medium flame for 1 minute or until it turns light brown.

2. In the same pan, dry roast poppy seeds and cashew nuts along with coconut over low flame for another minute. Keep aside to cool slightly.

3. Add the green chili and blend in a mixer till smooth, using a little water.


4. In a non-stick pan, heat 3 teaspoon oil, add paneer and saute over medium flame till they turn light brown. Remove from pan and set aside.

5. In the same pan, heat remaining 2 teaspoon of oil, add onion and saute until they turn golden brown. Let cool and then blend in a mixer till smooth using a little water.

6. In a non-stick skillet, combine the onion paste, coconut paste and saute over medium flame for a minute.

7. Add tomato, turmeric powder, chili powder, salt and ¼ cup of water. Stir occasionally and cook for 2 minutes, mashing it well using a potato masher.

8. Add tomato puree and curd. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring once in between.

9. Stir in sweet corn kernels and sauteed paneer. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.


10. Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
