Contrary to the general notion that desserts, especially traditional ones, take a long time to prepare, here is how you can prepare rich and tasteful rice kheer in minutes! condensed milk and a dash of spices impart an intense flavor to this quick rice kheer despite the fact that the milk is not simmered for a long time. If you have cooked rice and other ingredients on hand, you can prepare this kheer within minutes, to serve with delicious fresh puris.


Full fat milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Cooked rice 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , mashed
Condensed milk 3 Tablespoon
Cardamom powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Nutmeg powder 2 Pinch
For garnish
Cardamom powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Nutmeg powder 1/4 Teaspoon



1. In a non-stick pan, heat milk, add the rice and mix well with help of a whisk.

2. Add the condensed milk and cardamom powder. Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 -3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

3. Sprinkle nutmeg powder, mix well and cook for 1 minute.


4. Garnish with nutmeg powder and cardamom powder.


5. Serve warm with puris.
