For the batter | ||
Gram flour | 100 Gram | |
Ginger paste | 1 Teaspoon | |
Garlic paste | 2 Teaspoon | |
Carom seeds | 2 Teaspoon (Ajwain) | |
Red chili powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Chili flakes | 2 Teaspoon (Optional) | |
Baking powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Iced water | 100 Milliliter |
GETTING READY
1. Wash and cut the fish fillets into medium sized chunks.
2. In a bowl, place fish and marinade it with lemon juice, salt, and black pepper powder. Mix well and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
MAKING
3. In another bowl, combine gram flour, ginger paste, garlic paste, carom seeds, red chili powder, chili flakes, baking powder, salt, and iced water. Mix well and make sure the batter is neither too thick nor too loose.
4. Coat the marinated fish pieces with the batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Take the fish pieces out on a kitchen towel.
SERVING
5. Serve hot.
