A mouth watering Indian dessert that is an absolute delight to any sweet toothed.
Almonds | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Badam) | |
Milk | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Water | 1/2 Liter | |
Sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
Cardamom powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Saffron water | 1/4 Teaspoon |
GETTING READY
1. In a saucepan, boil half a liter of water and blanch almonds in it for 2 minutes. Drain the almonds and take them out in a bowl.
2. Pour some cold water in the bowl so that it’s easy to peel the skin of the almonds. Grind them into a fine paste.
MAKING
3. In a thick bottomed pan, boil milk, add sugar and the almond paste. Cook for 5 minutes over low flame with a continuous stir.
4. Add cardamom powder and saffron water (a few strands of saffron dissolved in 1 tbsp of water). Stir well and let cool.

5. Serve and enjoy!
