Ingredients

Almonds 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Badam)
Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Water 1/2 Liter
Sugar 3 Tablespoon
Cardamom powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Saffron water 1/4 Teaspoon

GETTING READY

1. In a saucepan, boil half a liter of water and blanch almonds in it for 2 minutes. Drain the almonds and take them out in a bowl.

2. Pour some cold water in the bowl so that it’s easy to peel the skin of the almonds. Grind them into a fine paste.

MAKING

3. In a thick bottomed pan, boil milk, add sugar and the almond paste. Cook for 5 minutes over low flame with a continuous stir.

4. Add cardamom powder and saffron water (a few strands of saffron dissolved in 1 tbsp of water). Stir well and let cool.
