This is Indias most loved snack, which is spicy, crispy and delicious. You can pack these for lunch or any outing.


For the dough
All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Salt To Taste
Baking powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Oil 4 Tablespoon
Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
For the stuffing
Boiled and mashed potatoes 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Green chili 2 , finely chopped
Dry mango powder 1/2 Tablespoon
Coriander leaves 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , finely chopped
Other ingredients
Flour 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (For dusting)
Oil 1 Cup (16 tbs) (For deep frying)



1. For the dough – in a large bowl, sift flour and add salt, baking powder and oil and mix well with hands.

2. Knead soft dough with water Cover and keep aside for half an hour.


3. For the stuffing – in a medium bowl, add in all the ingredients and mix well.

4. Make lemon sized balls of dough. Place one ball on your palm, flatten with fingers. Gently press the center of the kachori with your thumb, add 1 to 1 ½ teaspoon of the potato filling and seal the ends of the dough. Press between palms. Roll gently with a rolling pin. Repeat the process with the rest of the ingredients.

5. In a skillet, heat the oil and add in the kachoris. Deep fry on medium flame. Turn while frying till they turn brown on both sides. Place kachoris on a kitchen towel on a plate.


6. Serve hot kachoris with green and sweet chutney.
