Fruit Custard or Fruit Salad - Indian Style Fruit Custard

Fruit Salad is a very very easy to make and delicious dessert. Milk with custard, nuts and fruits of choice makes this dessert to be one of my favorite dessert. It changes into a different tasting dessert every time you change the fruits, nuts and the custard flavour . One can make this dessert without any pre planning. So here is what you are going to need.


Milk 500 Milliliter
Sugar 80 Gram
Custard powder 2 Tablespoon
Cashew nuts 2 Tablespoon
Chopped fruits 2 Cup (32 tbs)



1. In a bowl combine custard powder with 3 tablespoon of milk, stir until well dissolved.

2. In a saucepan pour the remaining milk and bring it to a boil, stir occasionally. Add the custard mixture and whisk. Cook until the mixture thickens, add sugar and stir everything until sugar is dissolved. Add the cashew nuts and cook for 5 minutes.

3. Turn off the heat and allow it to cool, refrigerate for couple of hours.


4. In a serving glass or bowl place the mixed chopped fruits, add the chilled custard and garnish with tutti fruity or cherries,if you like.


5. Serve after a heart meal.
