Restaurant Style Paneer Butter Masala

Learn how to make restaurant style Paneer Butter Masala at home in a healthier way.


Butter 2 Tablespoon
Ginger garlic paste 1 Tablespoon
Onion paste 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Salt To Taste
Red chili powder 2 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
Tomato puree 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Roasted cumin powder 1 Teaspoon
Roasted coriander powder 1 Teaspoon
Evaporated milk 150 Milliliter
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (Optional)
Paneer 340 Gram , cubed
Dry fenugreek leaves 1/2 Teaspoon
Sugar 2 Tablespoon
For garnish
Chopped cilantro 1 Tablespoon



1. In a pan, melt butter, add ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute.

2. Add onion paste, salt, turmeric, and red chili power. Fry masala for 7-8 minutes or until the mixture become darker, stirring in between to prevent burning.

3. Add tomato puree and coarsely grounded roasted cumin and coriander powder. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

4. Slowly add evaporated milk. Let gravy simmer and then add paneer pieces. You can add water if desired to thin out the curry.

5. Add dried fenugreek leaves and sugar. Simmer for 2 minutes.


6. Garnish with cilantro leaves and serve with rice or roti.
