Paneer is loved by both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. It is also rich in calcium and milk protein. Here is a simple, easy to prepare, mouth-watering snack perfect for any occasion.
Grated paneer | 200 Gram (Indian cottage cheese) | |
Boiled potato | 1 | |
All purpose flour | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (maida or white flour) | |
Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Chopped coriander leaves | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (with stem) | |
Cayenne pepper powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Green chili | 1 , chopped finely | |
Garam masala powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Bread crumbs | 4 Tablespoon | |
Vegetable oil | 4 Teaspoon , divided | |
Salt | To Taste |
MAKING
1. In a pan, pour vegetable oil and roast maida (White flour or all purpose flour) until light brown in color. Make sure there are no lumps.
2. Slowly stir in the milk, making sure no lumps are formed.
3. Now add chopped paneer (Indian cottage cheese). Remove the pan from fire and let it cool.
4. Add boiled potato and mash well. Add cayenne pepper powder, and garam masala powder.
5. Season with salt to taste, add chopped coriander leaves, and green chili. Mash well.
6. Form small cutlets from the prepared mixture. Roll them over bread crumbs to give a hard and crunchy look.
FINALIZING
7. Shallow fry them in vegetable oil.
SERVING
8. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
