Tandoori chicken powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Water | 550 Milliliter | |
Green bell pepper | 1/2 , cut into strips (capsicum) |
GETTING READY
1. Wash and slice chicken, place in a bowl and add cayenne pepper powder and salt. Mix well and keep it aside for 5-10 minutes.
MAKING
2. In a pan, heat vegetable oil and add black peppercorns, green cardamom, cinnamon stick, and cloves. When they splutter add onion and saute until browned.
3. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and tomato paste. Cook until the oil separates.
4. Stir in turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt to taste. Add tandoori chicken powder and 50 ml of water while frying the spices.
5. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook on a low flame for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
6. Pour 2 cups of water. Cook for another 5-7 minutes.
7. Add capsicum (green bell pepper) and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the chicken is done.
SERVING
8. Serve hot with butter naan or rice.
