Indian Breakfast - Aloo Ka Paratha

All over the world potatoes are everyone's favorite. Here I am presenting an Indian Stuffed Paratha, which has potatoes. Its filling and tasty and when eaten with white butter and raita it tastes even better.


For the stuffing
Mashed potatoes 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Green chilies 1 Teaspoon , finely chopped
Coriander leaves 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , finely chopped
Salt To Taste
Chat masala 1 Teaspoon
For the dough
Whole wheat flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Other ingredients
Ghee 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Whole wheat flour 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (For dusting)



1. For the Dough – In a large bowl, combine together whole wheat flour and water. Knead into semi-stiff dough. Set aside.

2. For the stuffing – in a medium bowl, mix together all the ingredients and set aside.


3. Divide the dough and stuffing into 8 equal portions.

4. Dust the portion of the dough with flour and roll into a circle of 3 inch circle.

5. Place a portion of stuffing in the centre of the circle. Bring together all the sides in the centre and seal tightly. Roll again into a circle of 6 inch circle with a little flour.

6. Heat a non-stick pan and cook the paratha using a little ghee until golden brown spots appear on both the sides. Repeat the process with rest of the ingredients.


7. Serve Aloo Ka Paratha with Mix Veg Raita.
