High Protein Indian Style Chicken Burger

We've all had burgers at our favorite joints in the past, not considering their nutritional value but just enjoying them for their taste and simply giving in to the temptation of this fast food. If you thought you cannot match the same taste at home, its time to think again.


Lean ground chicken 1 Pound
Spring onion 2 , finely chopped
Green chili 4 , chopped
Salt & white pepper To Taste
Brown bread crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Olive oil cooking spray 6 , spray
Whole wheat burger buns 4 , sliced into two halves
Tomato 1 , sliced (Grilled)
Onion 1 , sliced (Grilled)
Lettuce leaves 4 (Sized For The Bun)
Low fat diet mayonnaise 2 Tablespoon
Red chili powder 1 Teaspoon



1. Mix the chopped spring onion, green chilies, salt and pepper with the minced meat.

2. Add the breadcrumbs.

3. Take a handful of the minced meat and shape into 3-4 inch round flat patties.

4. In a flat non-stick pan, using olive oil spray, grill the patties turning over a few times till well done and brown in color.

5. Mix red chili powder with mayonnaise to make chili mayonnaise.

6. Spread chili mayonnaise on the inside of the bun, place lettuce leaf, grilled slices of onion and tomato and then place the grilled chicken patty. Top with the other half of the bun and press down gently.


7. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and mustard sauce.
