Hare Matar Ka Zaykedar Paratha (Delicious Green Peas Paratha)

Are you bored with your regular breakfast? If your answer is yes, then here is an Indian Paratha stuffed with green peas, which is spicy and crispy.

Ingredients

For the dough
Whole wheat flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
For the stuffing
Frozen peas/Fresh peas 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Onion 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , finely chopped
Red chili powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Oil 2 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Water 2 Tablespoon
Other ingredients
Oil 2 Tablespoon
Whole wheat flour 1/4 Tablespoon (For dusting)

Directions

GETTING READY

1. For the dough – In a large bowl, combine wheat flour and water. Knead it into soft dough and let it sit for 15 minutes.

2. For the stuffing – In a skillet, heat oil and add in the onion, sauté for a few seconds.

3. Add in the frozen peas, salt, red chilli powder and water. Cover with a lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.

4. Take out the peas in a large plate and let it cool.

5. Place the peas into a blender and coarsely blend.

MAKING

6. On a dusted surface, place a lemon sized ball of the dough, roll to get small circle. Place about 2 tablespoons of the peas filling. Bring the edges towards the center and seal by pinching with fingers.

7. Again roll on a dusted surface. Repeat the process with rest of the ingredients.

8. Heat a shallow pan on medium – high heat, place the paratha, after about 1 minutes flip and brush the top facing side with oil, flip again brush the other side with oil, cook until parathas are crispy.

SERVING

9. Serve Peas Stuffed Paratha with tomato chutney.
