Carom seeds | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Cumin seeds | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Green chilies | 2 , chopped | |
Garlic paste | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Onion | 1 , chopped | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Tomatoes | 2 , pureed | |
Turmeric powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Red chilli powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Milk | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Cottage cheese | 250 Gram , cubed | |
Fresh cream | 1 Tablespoon | |
Garam masala powder | 1/2 Teaspoon |
MAKING
1. In a pan, roast the sesame seeds and blend to make a powder. Set aside.
2. In a pan, heat the oil and add in the carom and cumin seeds. Allow to crackle.
3. Now add in the green chillies and garlic paste. Sauté for a few seconds.
4. Add in the onion and season with salt. Cook the onions until looks transparent.
5. Pour in the tomato puree and season with red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the oil separates and the gravy becomes thick.
6. Stir in the milk and grounded sesame seeds. Stir continue to mix well. Wait for few boils and add in the cubes of cottage cheese. Season with garam masala powder. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
7. Mix the fresh cream and leave to cook on low flame.
SERVING
8. Serve Paneer Lababdar with tandoori roti, naan, paratha or kulcha.
