Baked Cottage Cheese Delights

What does one feel like when it pouring heavily outside? A hot cup of ginger tea and some hot fritters to go with it. So this recipe is a healthy take on the usually high calorie, deep fried "paneer pakoda" or cottage cheese fritters.


Low sodium low fat cottage cheese 250 Gram , cubed
White pepper powder 1 Teaspoon (Leveled)
Garlic &ginger paste 1 Teaspoon (Leveled)
Freshly squeezed lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
Oatmeal flour 2 Tablespoon (Leveled)
Low sodium baking powder 1 Pinch
Salt To Taste
Red chilli powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Olive oil cooking spray 2 (Sprays)



1. In a bowl, marinate the cottage cheese cubes with white pepper powder, ginger garlic paste and fresh lemon juice. Set aside for 20 -30 minutes.

2. In the mean time pre-heat oven to 180 C.

3. In another bowl, mix together, oatmeal flour, baking powder, red chili powder, salt to taste until well combined.


4. Coat the marinated cottage cheese cubes with the dry ingredient mix prepared.

5. Place on a greased baking tray and spray with olive oil before placing in the preheated oven.

6. Bake until color turns golden but for not longer than 5-6 minutes as otherwise the cottage cheese could turn rubbery.


7. Serve hot with red chili sauce or a dip of your choice.
