Chicken Mozhu Fry

Pepper chicken is a classic yet simple dish. The pepper gives it a nice distinct taste to the dish. The quantity of pepper used can either make the dish or break the dish.


Chicken 1/2 Kilogram (with bones, cut into medium pieces)
Onion 2 Medium , slice
Curry leaves 10
Ginger garlic paste 1 Teaspoon
Pepper powder 1 Teaspoon
Garam masala 1/2 Teaspoon
Oil 2 Tablespoon
Green chili 5 , slit lengthwise
Turmeric powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Lime juice 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste



1.Pressure cook the chicken along with water, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and salt for 3 whistles.Keep aside.

2.Heat oil in a pan and add onions, green chili, curry leaves, garam masala and sauté until golden brown.

3.Add the boiled chicken and shallow fry it.

4.Add the pepper powder and fry it for another minute or two.


5.Add lime juice before serving with roti or rice.
