Onion 1 Medium , finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste 1/2 Teaspoon
Cumin powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Green chili 1 Medium , finely chopped (Optional)
Chaat masala 3/4 Teaspoon
Coriander leaves 1 Tablespoon , finely chopped
Salt To Taste
Red chili powder 3/4 Teaspoon (Adjust as per your preference for spice)
Potatoes 3 Medium , boiled, peeled and mashed
Rest of the ingredients for the bread snack
Bread slices 10 Medium
Tomato ketchup 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (Or as needed to spread on all the slices)
Sesame seeds 50 Gram (Or as needed)
For pan frying
Butter 2 Tablespoon

1. Heat up a pan with oil. When hot enough, add onion, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, green chilies (if using). Saute for a couple of minutes until onions are translucent.

2. Then, add chaat masala, coriander leaves, salt and red chili powder. Stir fry the spices for a minute.

3. Stir in the mashed potatoes and stir to mix all the spices well with the potatoes.

4. Let sit on low heat, uncovered for about 5 - 7 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the potatoes from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

5. Take the bread slices, spread tomato ketchup on one side of all the slices.

6. Then, spread the prepared potato mixture evenly on top of the slices, followed by sprinkles of sesame seeds.

7. Heat a frying pan with butter. Place the bread slices on the melted butter in the pan. Fry slightly, flipping sides until slightly golden brown on both sides.

8. Serve hot and enjoy!

The potato mixture can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator up to 2 days.
