Simple Homemade Mudda Pappu

Yellow lentil 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Kandi pappu)
Water 3 Cup (48 tbs)
Cumin seeds 1/2 Teaspoon
Clarified butter 1/2 Teaspoon
Tumeric powder 1 Pinch
Salt To Taste



1.In a pressure cooker add yellow lentil, water, turmeric powder, oil, cumin seeds and pressure cook it for 4 whistles.

2.After it cools down ,add salt and mash the lentil soup with a ladle to give it a smooth consistency.


3.Serve it hot with rice, ghee and pickle.
