Reduced Sugar Daliya Kheer

Rich in fiber and good quality fats.


Skim milk 500 Milliliter
Broken wheat 50 Gram , soaked in water for 1 hour, drained well
Sugar replacement 3 Teaspoon (equal quantity sweetener) (Optional)
Soaked raisins 5 Gram
Walnuts chopped 2 Teaspoon
Chopped almonds 2 Teaspoon



1. Dry Roast broken wheat for few minutes on medium flame

2. Boil the milk in boiling pan. Add sugar replacement.

3. Add the soaked, drained broken wheat in the boiling milk.

4. Cook on medium flame and stir continuously.Stirring is essential to avoid sticking.

5. In about 12-15 minutes milk will get thicker. Now add the soaked raisins and almonds.

6. Cook for 5 more minutes. The mixture would now be reduced to half approximately.

7. Kheer is ready


8. Remove in bowls and garnish with chopped walnuts.

9. Serve hot or cold according to your preference.
