Yam 1 Cup (16 tbs) , dice
Tamarind juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Onion 1 Small , chopped finely
Curry leaves 2 Teaspoon
Mustard seeds 1/2 Teaspoon
Cumin seeds 1/2 Teaspoon
Fenugreek seeds 1/4 Teaspoon
Chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Tumeric powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Jaggery 1/2 Teaspoon
Oil 2 Tablespoon
Garlic clove 4
Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Salt To Taste



1.Heat a pan with oil, and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and let it splutter.

2.Add onions, curry leaves and yam pieces and stir fry for a minute.

3.Add turmeric powder, chili powder, salt and water and stir well.

4.Once it gets cooked well in the water, add the tamarind juice, garlic cloves and jaggery.

5.Allow it to simmer for 10 minutes on a low flame.


6.Serve it hot with roti. It can be eaten along with rice too.
