Bengali Special Paneer Curry

This curry has a very subtle taste of the spices and the paneer. Tried this recipe for the first time and in love with the subtle tastes of bengali cuisine. A must try,you will love it too!!

Ingredients

Cottage cheese 250 Gram , bite size pieces (paneer)
Chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Tumeric powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Bay leaf 1
Coconut milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Cardamom 1
Clove 1
Cinnamon stick 1/2 Inch
Oil 2 Tablespoon
Green chili 2 , slit lengthwise
Coriander leaves 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste

Directions

GETTING READY:

1.Grind the onions into a fine paste and keep aside.

2.Grind tomatoes into a fine paste and keep aside.

MAKING:

3.Heat oil in a pan.

4.Add the spices ( cardamom, clove, cinnamon stick, bay leaf) along with the onion paste and saute.

5.Add ginger garlic paste, tomato paste, chili powder, turmeric powder, green chili, salt and mix well.

6.Add the cottage cheese pieces and stir well.

7.Now add the coconut milk and allow it to simmer on a low flame for 5 mins.

SERVING:

8.Serve it hot with pulka, roti.
