This is the perfect way to make perfect rotis.

Stone ground wheat flour/Whole wheat flour | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |

GETTING READY
1. In a mixing bowl, combine stone ground wheat flour, salt and oil.
2. Gradually add water a little at at a time and knead the mixture to form a soft dough as shown in the video.
3. Smooth-en out the dough with a few drops of oil on the surface of the dough.
4. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
MAKING
5. Divide the dough into equal sized balls (each about the size of a golf ball).
6. Take each dough ball, flatten it out, dust with flour and roll using a rolling board and rolling pin as shown in the video.
7. Heat a cast iron tava (griddle), bake the rolled chapatis on the hot tava, flipping sides until few bubbles build up on both sides.
8. Then, transfer them on to the direct flame (high heat) and roast both sides flipping them with the help of tongs as shown in the video, until done.
9. When done, smear a little butter on the chapatis.
SERVING
10. Serve hot with any Indian curry or cooked vegetable side dish of your choice. You may even use it as a wrap with your choice of fillings.
