Not many would be familiar with dishes made of taro leaves. It's an extremely tasty dish. Easy to make and healthy to eat, what more can one ask for! Try this yummy and unique dish!!

Oil | 4 Tablespoon | |
Green gram | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Green chiles | 2 Medium | |
Garlic flakes | 5 | |
Mustard seeds | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Cumin seeds | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Split black gram | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Chickpeas | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Red chili | 5 Medium | |
Curry leaves | 1 Teaspoon | |
Tamarind | 10 Gram (Soaked in 1/2 cup water) | |
Chickpea flour | 2 Teaspoon | |
Water | 4 Cup (64 tbs) | |
Tumeric powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Onion | 1 Medium , dice | |
Salt | To Taste |
GETTING READY:
1.Wash the taro root leaves properly and chop it finely
MAKING:
2.In a pan, add water, green gram (moong dal),turmeric powder and salt and boil it.
3.After the dal is boiled add green chilies, taro root leaves, tamarind and cook it further for 3 mins and keep it aside.
4.Take a pan and heat the oil
5.Once the oil is hot enough, add chick peas, black gram, curry leaves, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and sauté on a low flame until golden brown
6.Add chickpea flour and stir until the aroma arises
7.Add garlic flakes and the boiled dal mixture and stir fry
SERVING:
8.Serve it with ghee and hot rice.
