Onion Chicken Fry

I always thought preparing chicken would be an elaborate affair,but not until I learnt how to make this dish. It's easy and tasty.Does not have too many ingredients therefore keeping the taste very subtle and simple yet classic.

Ingredients

Chicken 1/2 Kilogram (medium sized pieces,with bones)
Oil 4 Tablespoon
Ginger garlic paste 1 Teaspoon
Tumeric powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Coriander powder 1 Teaspoon
Onion 2 Large , sliced
Green chiles 2 , slit lengthwise
Garam masala 1 Teaspoon
Water 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Coriander leaves 1/2 Bunch (50 gm) , chopped finely
Lime juice 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste

Directions

GETTIND READY:

1.In a large bowl,place the chicken pieces and wash it thoroughly and keep it aside.

MAKING:

2.In a cooking vessel add the chicken pieces, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala, green chilies, half of the sliced onions , salt, water and mix it well.

3.Cover with a lid and boil the chicken until it is well cooked.

4.After the chicken is well cooked and the water has evaporated, add the coriander powder.

5.Turn the heat off and keep it aside.

6.Take a frying pan and heat the oil.

7.Add the remaining onion slices , and saute until golden brown.

8.Add few pieces of chicken and shallow fry it for 5 mins. (Note: Take few pieces at a time and shallow fry for better results)

SERVING:

9.Garnish the chicken with coriander and lime juice and serve it with rice ,roti or pulka.
